Petit a Petit French Daycare was born with a vision to provide children from age one to ten with a fun and stimulating environment immersed in French language and culture.

We are a Large family daycare with a maximum of 12 children.

We are licensed by the State of California and are registered with Connection for Children in Santa Monica.

Our philosophy is to nurture the development of children through free play as well as structured play . We create a daily schedule with regular periods of instructor-led activities that reinforce positive behavior, integrate French language and culture, and build upon development milestones.

Young children learn best through observation and in group settings. Activities such as story-time, singing, dance, music, and craft incorporate lessons in counting, colors, shape recognition, language, and social development. Of course, French is the primary language used in all our activities.

During their free time we provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere where they are free to explore and develop their self-confidence. They also use their new skills and knowledge with their playmates, further reinforcing their lessons.

Our goal is to provide the best environment possible for your child.

My name is Manuela, I am a French mom of a girl, Vanessa, and a little boy, Tristan.

I have a lot of experience with children of all ages. Growing up in a large family (20 aunts and uncles, plus uncountable cousins) gave me a lot of experience. In my 20's, three extended trips to England and Ireland helped me refine my childcare skills as I was working as an Au Pair with infants and toddlers.

I began my career in Public Relations, rising to a manager position at Reed Midem Organization, the world's largest music trade convention in Cannes. I spent 6 years with them. When I arrived in Los Angeles 10 years ago, I worked as a photographer/videographer, post production video editor, and production manager for the Video Game industry for 8 years.

In 2007, after the birth of my daughter, I decided to become a child care provider to spend more time with my family. In 2008, I worked part-time for two well-established family daycares in West L.A., completed my first aid / CPR and child health and safety courses and then decided to create my own unique bilingual French / English daycare.

Petit a Petit Daycare was born with a vision to provide children from age 1 to 6 with a fun and stimulating environment immersed in French language and culture.

I am a caring and loving person. I address each child as a valuable individual and respect their unique personality / needs because every single one of them is different. I value and respect parents choices in how to raise their own children.
